Privacy Policy

Draft — not yet in force. This describes how the website is built and behaves today. It needs review and sign-off before launch, and two details below are marked as outstanding.

What this policy covers

This covers the Oakline Flooring website. Oakline Flooring supplies flooring materials and does not sell through this site: nothing can be bought here, there is no account to create, and no payment is taken.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form and send. Nothing is collected in the background as you browse.

• Contact form — Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the subject you choose, and your message.
• Quote request — Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, delivery ZIP code, project type, timeline, any notes, and the list of products you added to your quote list.
• Anti-spam check — When the bot-protection check is enabled, your IP address is sent to Cloudflare so it can tell a person from an automated submission. It is used for that check and not kept by us for any other purpose.

What we do not collect

This site uses no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, and no third-party cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across other websites.

Your Quote List is held in your own browser’s local storage so it survives a page refresh. It stays on your device and is never transmitted to us unless you submit a quote request. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list from a form submission.

Who else sees it

Two service providers process form submissions on our behalf:

• Resend — Delivers form submissions to us by email. Your submission passes through their systems to reach our inbox.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — Checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. This receives your IP address.

We do not otherwise share, sell or rent what you send us. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Form submissions reach us as email and are kept in our business records. [Outstanding: retention period to be confirmed before launch.]

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including under the New York SHIELD Act.

Children

This site is intended for people conducting building and renovation work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
